Dave I rode with you many times, I remember you standing up while I sat on the turn table of old ladder 2 on a 90's box. I rode many calls with you I will always remember you encouraged me in what I did.
Iwas a member of the Southampton Fire Company during the 70's and Dave was one of those people i met and never forgot...a nice guy we also played softball together on the fire company softball team.Rest in peace Dave.
Often on the same shift, Dave was a great teacher in my first years in the PECO OCC. We spent countless midnight shifts together, and his spirit and great sense of humor helped get me through to morning. He will be missed in so many ways. I can still hear him say, "Toodles, you have another pole hit!"
Even though Dave called me sunshine, he was my sunshine, Dave was the first person to welcome me to Upper Southampton Police Department. He always lent an ear when I was having a bad day, he would call me because he heard my voice on the police radio and knew there was something wrong, the next thing I knew he was sitting next to my police car with a hot cup of coffee and a smile. I asked God to answer one prayer for me and I would never ask for another but I guess he had bigger plans for Dave. My heart is so saddened by the passing of Dave but I know I will find peace because I know now that Dave is at peace. I will miss you Dave.
