Deb & Entire Family!! You are in my thoughts and Prayers!! Mr. Elchert is and will always be a wonderful man in every sense of the word! I was very blessed to have known him! I remember the very first time I met him & Mrs Elchert...ofcourse there was a huge hug & kiss with Mrs Elchert and I moved onto Mr Elchert with the same Hug & Kiss which caused a lot of laughter & happy memories for me! Mr Elchert always gave me that loving smile but also leary of what I would do...He was so supportive to me when my husband was deployed and he always got a kick out of my youngest son Jack. I think he saw a little of himself in my son Jack. Mr & Mrs Elchert always made me feel like family and Debbie you are my "Sister" in every way possible! Just know that as much as you hurt now that you loved & were loved that much more!! Mr Elchert is in Paradise with his Love Mrs Elchert!! GOD BLESS

Just to say I remember Gregory from Calvert High in Tiffin and knew his lovely wife Joanna Longo and her family. Her dad worked with my dad at the Webster Foundry in Tiffin. Gregory was a nice guy and fun to be around.

Greg Elchert was a father to me more than a father-in-law. I always enjoyed our talks during Sunday night dinners, car trips and when I was fixing or setting up his computer. He was an extremely intelligent man who was humble and did not seek the spotlight. I learned a lot from him and will always be grateful that he accepted me into the family so quickly. I will remember MoMo and PopPop as loving grandparents and parents. Rest in Peace Dad Elchert.

Dad, you have always been a man of faith, integrity and persistence. The challenges of life did not deter you from your goals. The life lessons you taught your children were valuable and helped us all grow beyond our own vision. Your life was not an easy one but you never faltered. You gave us security and stability and a fatherly presence that guided us. Being a father and making the hard decisions that are not always popular is admirable. You were a faithful and loving father and as I told you the night before you died, it was a job well done. I thank you from the deepest part of my soul for the love you gave to us all. Dad...My heart is very heavy knowing that I won't be able to have you over for Sunday dinners or be able to hug & kiss you again. You were my rock and I will miss our many deep conversations. You always gave me the best advice and would always tell me that I worry too much! I know that since Mom has been gone you just felt lost....always so very sad. I worried so much about how you were going to live without her. You were a great love story....surviving all of the ups & downs in life and you were wonderful parents. All of us kids got our strength and courage from you and our strong morals. You have been so supportive of my children and they hold you close in their hearts forever. The only bit of peace that I find right now is knowing that you are back with the love of your life and you feel complete again. I feel blessed to hold your hand while you passed and know that Mom & all of our relatives were waiting anxiously for you. I love you so much Dad & I will miss you forever.
